VERY RARE Antique Royal Crown Derby 19 3/4 Large Platter Serving Dish in pattern 3237 Carnations. A spectacular and very rare Royal Crown Derby Serving Platter. The Platter is date marked to 1899.

This pattern is of particular interest to the collector, the floral sprays composition, use of carnations and extra styling of gilt is seldom seen in Royal Crown Derby porcelain. This pattern in part-service was last available via Christie's in 2004.

Remarkable condition and very functional piece. The Beautiful Large Platter is decorated throughout with pink and yellow carnations, each flower is hand-painted and unique. Some extra gilded detail has been stippled around the outer lip drawing attention to the moulded relief detailing and throughout the background. The Platter has scalloped sides with wavy edged rim. Little to no surface scratches. Date & Origin: Made at the Osmaston Road Factory in Derby in England, 1899. Condition: Excellent Antique Condition, No crazing or restoration.

Gilding is intact with the exception of a few wear spots. 19 3/4" L x 15 3/4" W.
