CE of Ali Pacha, Byrons Illustrations, FB F 35 - HUGE platter, 21 1/4" x 17 1/4" x 2 depth, with the prettiest blue and white transferware landscape vignette and elegant border! English Staffordshire, of a fabulous scene and story: It is a view of the palaces of Mu? Ali (Pacha) (born 1769, Kavala, Macedonia, Ottoman Empire [now in Greece]-died August 2, 1849, Alexandria, Egypt) pasha and viceroy of Egypt (1805-48), founder of the dynasty that ruled Egypt from the beginning of the 19th century to the middle of the 20th. The platter commemorates both Byron and the historical figure. The border, in particular, is a lyrical grouping of exotic birds, pottery, flowers of the Pacha.

1840-50s early Victorian, but it is just shy of perfect. I have put'xx' at the flaws for your review. One is a tiny 1/8 chip at about the 10 o'clock position of outer rim, and the other is a badly matched repaint at border about 11:30 o'clock position. One could certainly make that disappear with a better match of color. The small chip really disappears into the border of the blue and white, but of course we're going to point out any imperfection.
